What "verbal only" means on this site
Where our state claims for CoinPoker and Phenom Poker come from, what CoinPoker's terms say, and how to check a site's terms yourself.
On this site, "verbal only" means we are relaying what a site's affiliate manager told us directly. Nothing is in writing.
That is the basis for what we say our affiliate managers told us at CoinPoker and Phenom Poker. They said US players are accepted, and we have not seen that in writing from either one.
CoinPoker. Its current Terms and Conditions list the United States as a restricted territory. Clause 1.3, as published Oct 11, 2026, says: “Users located in or accessing the Platform from a Restricted Territory are not permitted to register, access, or use the Platform under any circumstances.” The definition in clause 3.1(m) includes “United States and its dependencies, military bases and territories”, and clauses 1.3 and 4.4 say accounts, balances and transactions can be blocked, voided or withheld. The Anjouan regulator's licence validation page for coinpoker.com also lists “USA” under Excluded Territories. Our affiliate manager told us verbally that US players are accepted. Those two things conflict, so we show both and tell you to read the terms and decide for yourself. Sources: CoinPoker Terms and Conditions (PDF) and Anjouan licence validation page, both checked Oct 11, 2026.
Phenom Poker. Its terms don't name the United States and don't publish a restricted list. We found no official page confirming US availability. Its affiliate manager told us verbally that every state is open.
To check any site yourself, open its terms and look for a section on restricted territories or restricted countries. If your state or the US is listed there, don't sign up. If you can't find such a list, ask the site's support to confirm in writing.
