Sample issue: Maine, Oklahoma and what we checked

This is a sample, not an issue we sent. We wrote it from changes we really verified, so you can see what the Thursday email looks like. Nobody received it.

Subject: Thursday email: Clubs Poker's own list has 13 states, and Oklahoma's date

Here's what changed at the sites we cover and in state law, and where each item comes from.

1. Clubs Poker's own rules list 13 excluded states, and Maine is one. The Sweepstakes Official Rules dated Jun 30, 2026 exclude California, Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Washington and West Virginia. Our list had 12 and missed Maine; it's fixed. Source: Clubs Poker's Sweepstakes Official Rules (PDF). More: our note.

2. Oklahoma's SB 1589 has an effective date of Nov 1, 2026. We found no notice from Clubs Poker about what it will do in Oklahoma, so we don't say. We don't link Clubs Poker for Oklahoma. Source: the enrolled bill (PDF). More: our note.

3. Aces against kings, counted exactly. Pocket aces have 82.6% equity against pocket kings when the kings hold the same suits, and 81.3% when they don't. Source: our calculator's exact count.

If nothing had changed, this email would say so in one line.
