Daily equity puzzle

One spot a day, the same for everyone. Guess a hand's equity, then see the exact answer. The games rotate through Hold'em, Omaha with 4, 5 and 6 cards, Big O, Omaha Hi/Lo and Stud.

Your guesses and streak stay on your device. We save them in your browser's local storage and never receive them.

How it works

Today's spot. The puzzle changes at midnight Eastern time, so everyone gets the same one on the same day. The first puzzle is Oct 12, 2026.

Your guess. We show two or three hands and the board, if there is one. You guess Hand A's equity: the share of the pot it takes on average if the remaining cards are dealt and nobody bets again. In Hi/Lo games, that counts the high half and the low half. Ties split the pot.

Score. Within 2 points of the exact number is 3 out of 3, within 5 is 2, within 10 is 1, and anything further is 0.

The answers. Every answer is an exact count of all the remaining deals, made with the same engine as the equity calculator and checked a second time with the hands in reverse order. They're stored in this page, so someone who reads the page source can see future answers; the streak is just for you.

Sharing. The share text has your score and streak and the page address. It never has the answer.

Privacy. Your guesses, scores and streak are saved in your browser's local storage. Clear your site data, or use the button after you answer, to remove them. See our privacy page.

Disclaimer

Poker equity calculator (educational). This tool shows each hand's equity: the share of the pot it would win on average if all the remaining cards were dealt with no more betting. It uses only the cards you enter and treats every unknown card as equally likely. It ignores betting and how anyone plays, and it cannot tell you what will happen in a hand or what to do. “Exact” results count every possible deal. “Simulated” results are estimates; the plus-or-minus figure means each player's true value is very likely (95% confidence) within that range. Nothing you enter leaves your device. Many card rooms and poker sites do not allow calculators during a hand; check their rules.
